Maes Glas Vets is owned and run by veterinary surgeons, not accountants or a corporate entity hiding behind a traditional name and provides the same first class service it always has for companion and farm animals over a large area of South Wales. We are proud to provide veterinary services for the Dogs Trust, Guide Dogs, the South Wales Police Dog section and local shows, charities and organisations and our reputation for a quality service speaks for itself. Everyone at our practice is committed to providing you with the very best in pet, farm animal and equine healthcare.
With over 20 vets, a large number of qualified support staff, and 5 branches we are equipped and able to deal with a range of problems from chocolate poisoning in dogs to infertile mares and cows with mastitis. Our veterinary team bring a wealth of experience to the practice and have individually obtained high standards of professional qualification. Several of our vets have specific areas of interest and we also have links with a range of specialists, such as the University of Bristol, Cave oncology referrals, Origin Vets, Three Counties Equine Hospital and the Eye Veterinary Clinic for the few problematic cases which arise each year which cannot be treated in our extensive hospital facilities.
Our understanding and supportive staff will see your pet promptly in pleasant surroundings, work with you to diagnose the problem with the aid of the latest technology and instigate a course of treatment, which is monitored to completion.
Outside of normal working hours some vets use an emergency service provider, someone who will have no records for your pet and may be based some distance away from your regular practice. We aim to provide an excellent local service, and our own in house team of 2 vets and a nurse are available to deal with your emergency 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
