Geriatrics

Pets grow old, just like us, and just like us when they age they can become more frail and develop conditions which are often very treatable if caught early enough. So if your pet is getting creaky in the mornings, has smelly breath, is losing weight or doing anything else that worries you please come and see us. In many cases, the earlier treatment is started, the more comfortable we can keep your animal’s twilight years.

If you are keen to take a more proactive approach, we can also offer routine blood or urine sampling of elderly animals as well as blood pressure monitoring in suitable cases. If we can catch a condition before the signs become evident then we can really make a difference.

In general we recommend annual blood testing from 8 years old.
